June 25 Recap
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timohty 3:16-17)
At the heart of all we do is God’s Word. Whether it’s on a Sunday or Tuesday in church, at a funeral or a wedding, or in local schools, we count it a privilege to share the truth of Scripture. Our ongoing prayer is that all who hear God’s Word would be moved to follow its guidance and live lives that reflect Christ.
This past month has been filled with meaningful opportunities to proclaim the Gospel and celebrate the life of our church community. Some of the key events included:
- Kidz Reach & Youth Reach Prizegiving – Celebrating another great year of ministry among our children and young people.
- Father’s Day Celebration – A special time honouring dads and father figures in our church family.
- Senior Citizens’ Outing – A joyful trip to Coleman’s Garden Centre brought fellowship, food, and fun.
- Team Tennessee Coffee Morning – A warm gathering to connect and support the team
- Thrive Residential – A spiritually rich time away for our young people to grow in faith and friendship.
Pastor Jonathan has had the opportunity once again to minister God’s Word at several funerals this month. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to all families walking through loss, and we pray for God’s comfort to surround them.
We also celebrated a joyful occasion as Pastor Jonathan officiated the wedding of Leanne Courtney and Jim Erwin. We pray God’s richest blessings on them as they begin their new life together.
Pastor Steve, in partnership with Emma-Jayne from Woodvale Methodist Church, has been actively involved in schools ministry. Together, they delivered RE lessons for P7 pupils at Glenwood and Forth River Primary Schools, helping prepare them for the transition to secondary school. Pastor Steve also spoke at assemblies and shared at the Girls’ Model SU group, continuing to sow seeds of faith among students.
As we move into the summer season, with many people travelling or taking breaks, our hope is that everyone finds time for rest and renewal. May we each return refreshed and ready to continue serving the Lord with joy and purpose.
