March 26 Recap
Galatians 5:22-23- 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control.
Over recent weeks, Pastor Jonathan has been continuing his Sunday morning series on the “I Am” statements of Christ. There was a short break on Mother’s Day and Palm Sunday for our special services. On Tuesday evenings, he has also been teaching through the Fruit of the Spirit- another encouraging and challenging series. If you’ve missed any of these studies, you can catch up on our YouTube channel.
On Sunday evenings, Pastor Steve began a new series on 10th March focusing on the judges in the Book of Judges. It has been especially interesting exploring some of the lesser-known Bible characters and seeing how God used them—and how He continues to work in our lives today. On Sunday 29th at Reach Out, we welcomed William and Sharon Waite, who shared their powerful testimony of how God restored their relationship after 18 years of separation, bringing them back together with a renewed love for Him and for each other.
It has also been a busy and fruitful month for Pastor Steve in local schools. He has been involved with the SU group in Girls Model, RE lessons and SU group in Boys Model, as well as taking assemblies in Forth River and Glenwood Primary School.
In addition, Pastor Steve had the opportunity to host a youth group from Bethany Free Presbyterian Church, sharing about the lasting legacy of Amy Carmichael. It was a greatly enjoyed and meaningful evening.
We continue to extend our sympathies to families in the local community who have been bereaved, particularly the family of Mason Keilhauer.
Looking ahead to April, all ministries will pause for the Easter period and will recommence the week beginning 13th April. We are looking forward to a number of upcoming events, including our Easter weekend celebrations, the FIEC local conference, the Thrive Residential, and a visit from special guests from the Dohnavur Fellowship on Sunday 26th. We would love you to join with us where you can.
