Restart Sunday- Praying for our Schools
Sunday 31st August was a special day in the Welcome as we once again took the opportunity to pray for our young people, teachers, and the schools within our community.
During the service we welcomed a special guest, Philip McClure, Vice-Principal of Forth River Primary School. Philip shared how God led him into teaching, some of the daily challenges faced in school life, and the blessing of knowing the Lord’s presence with him in the classroom.
We also heard from Noah and Hannah, who were interviewed about their hopes and plans for the next two years as they begin their A-level studies.
The service concluded with Pastor Steve bringing a message from 1 Thessalonians 2:1–12, which had been read earlier by Isaac and Phoebe. He challenged the church to live out a shared life, following Paul’s example of being caring, courageous, and consistent, while pointing us to Christ as the ultimate model of these qualities.
As a church, we continue to pray for all our pupils—especially those beginning new schools—that the Lord would help and bless them throughout this year.
If you missed the service you can catch up on our YouTube channel.
