Mother's Day 2023
On Sunday 19th March we celebrated Mother’s Day during our church service. Lorraine led the service and Paula opened in prayer. Arlene shared her testimony about how she first came to the Welcome for her grandson’s dedication and after a short while of coming along to the church she gave her life back to the Lord in 2014. She shared how the Lord has never failed her over those years and how she enjoys serving in the church. Arlene finished by singing Let the Lord have His way.
Jennifer read a poem she had written, called “Women Here is Your Son”. Then Bessie sang a song accompanied by Mina on the keyboard.
Amanda read 1 Samuel 1:1-7 from God’s Word. Following on Gloria spoke about the life of Hannah, of the suffering and grief she experienced but how the Lord was with Hannah and knew all about it. Gloria reminded us that Hannah gave Samuel to God’s service and God gave us His son to serve and to save us.
Pastor Steve hijacked the service before the children went to Kidz Reach and asked them to present all the ladies with a box of chocolates on behalf of the church to show how much we love and appreciate them.
