Mother’s Day Service
On Sunday 15th March, the wonderful mothers of The Welcome led our annual Mother’s Day service.
Sisi greeted everyone warmly at the door, and Gloria opened the service with a heartfelt welcome and led us throughout. Gillian & Karla took up the offering, and Janet beautifully read a poem by John Gilchrist celebrating the blessing of a mother.
Kim then interviewed Sharon, who courageously shared her powerful testimony. Having faced heartbreak, struggles with addiction, and many difficult lows, Sharon spoke about how her life was transformed three years ago at a Stauros Carol Service. While she still faces challenges, she shared her confidence that God is with her, guiding and strengthening her each day.
Beverly read from Isaiah 49:8–16 before Kim brought a message of hope—reminding us that Jesus came to rescue us from darkness so we never have to feel alone. God’s timing is perfect, and He calls us into freedom, purpose, and a living relationship with Him. He is our way-maker, who never forgets us and always keeps His promises.
