Restart Sunday 2026
On Sunday 30th August it was wonderful to gather together as a church family and pray for the pupils, staff and everyone who work in the schools and further education colleges within our community.
Pastor Steve welcomed everyone to the service before Aaliyah read the theme verse for the morning: Psalm 119:105- Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Throughout the service, the children led songs from the front. We also heard from Isaac in an interview who shared about how he feels moving from primary school to secondary school.
Gary McKay shared about the work he is involved in with Impact Training, while Kim spoke about the upcoming opportunities in our local schools at the beginning of October with a visiting team from Tennessee.
Pastor Steve reminded us the importance of reading and responding to God’s word in the year ahead, focussing on the reaction of King Josiah when God’s word was discovered.
It was a great service, and as a new school year begins, we continue to pray that the Lord will bless and guide all those within our local school communities. We pray that God’s Word would be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path in the year ahead.
