March 25 Recap

¹⁶ Rejoice always, ¹⁷ pray without ceasing, ¹⁸ in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Throughout the month of March, we have continued to enjoy Pastor Jonathan’s teaching on the ‘Cries of the Cross’ on Sunday mornings, studies on the life of Peter with Pastor Steve on Sunday evenings and 1 Thessalonians on Tuesday nights and Pastor Jonathan has now moved onto teaching 2 Thessalonians.  

On alternate Sunday evenings it has been encouraging to hear testimonies from Gary and George and to see the number attending Discipleship Explored increasing. If you haven’t been we would love for you to attend our next evening on Sunday 13^th April at 7pm.

Some of the highlights this month have included the baby dedication of Zuri Madden, the wedding of Andrew Rickett & Rebekah Young and the Shankill Mission that took place in the Leisure Centre with David Legge.

As well as continuing his involvement in the Girls Model SU, Pastor Steve also had the opportunity to take the SU group in Springhill Primary. On 18^th March Steve attending the Inspire Careers Day in Blackmountain Primary School and also took an assembly on 28^th at Forth River Primary. Again, we give thanks to God for all openings into the schools.

As well there have been many in the church who have battled illness, and the list seems never ended. We pray for God’s peace for all of those who need a special touch from the Lord.

Next month we are looking forward to:

• Sunday 13^th when Kidz & Youth Reach will be leading our morning service at 11.30am
• Friday 18^th- Good Friday Communion Service at 7pm
• Sunday 20^th- Baptism Service at 7pm.
