October 24 Recap
October 24 Recap
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.
(Psalm 145:3)
We praise God this month for Gillian and Beverley putting their faith in God following two Teaching Tuesday Bible studies. At the Welcome our goal is not to see people join our church but to become followers of Christ and we give all glory to God when anyone makes that decision.
This month has been another busy month with Pastor Jonathan continuing the teaching series in Revelation on Tuesday evenings and the life of David on Sunday mornings. Pastor Steve has continued his series on Sunday evenings Follow & Share looking at the life of Peter. All these studies have been a blessing and again if you wish to catch up on Sunday morning or Tuesday evening you can do so on our homepage.
Band of Brothers went bowling on Monday 14th. The following evening Tuesday 15th we took a break from the series in Revelation to hear from Callum Webster from the Christian Institute. We give thanks for what Callum shared as it was so enlightening and relevant for Christians today.
At the beginning of the month Drew McCoubrey came along to Reach Out to share his testimony. If you haven’t watched, make sure to click the link for our Facebook page. We had 3 baby dedications this month. We praise God for Ayla McCann, Amelia Moore and Aria Hamilton and pray for them and their families that they would trust in God.
Pastor Steve has again been sharing with the Scripture Union group in the Girl’s Model and all the other youth ministries have continued as normal. The highlight of the month was when Thrive went to Prison Island and the most doubted team overcame and won!
Pastor Jonathan had a short time away from the Welcome as he went to Yoker Evangelical Church in Scotland. He had a great time sharing his testimony and the story of Amy Carmichael.
Again, we pray for all of those who have been bereaved and for the opportunities Pastor Jonathan and Pastor Steve have had to bring God’s love to families in their time of grief.
In November we are looking forward to the annual Christmas Fair on Saturday 23rd from 11-2pm. Please do come along as we hope to raise funds for the Royal Victoria Hospital Liver Support Group. We look forward with prayerful and expectant hearts to all that God has planned for us in November.
