May 26 Recap
John 3:16- For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
As we recap the month of May, many highlights have already been shared. All the youth ministries have now come to an end for another term, and we are so thankful for all that the leaders do, as well as those who attended safeguarding training on Thursday 28th May. There was a very significant church AGM, a fundraiser, and a special ladies’ event. If you missed any of those reports, you can click on any of the links below:

On Sunday 10th May Pastor Jonathan finished the series on the “I am” statements of Christ looking at “I am the True Vine.” He then began a two-week mini-series on tithing and how we use the resources God has given us to be a blessing to the Lord and others. He also continued the Teaching Tuesday series on the Sermon on the Mount, while Pastor Steve continued his Sunday evening series on the Judges.
It was great to have Woody Price along from the Stuaros Foundation with us at Reach Out on the last Sunday evening of the month to share his testimony. He explained how he grew up atheistic but came to have faith in God as a teenager. It was a fantastic evening.
During the month there were two dedication services. At the first, we gave thanks for Renayah Matska, and at the second we gave thanks for Kayde Ferguson and Avie Gilmore. We are thankful to God for these young lives and pray they will grow up to have faith in Christ.
Pastor Steve had the opportunity to take assemblies at Balckmountain and Edenbrooke primary schools, as well as finishing the term in the Girls Model SU. We are so thankful for the opportunities to share the good news of the Bible in the schools.
Throughout the month there have been many bereavements within our local community, and Pastor Jonathan has been asked to lead a number of those services. We pray for all the bereaved families, and we also remember Pastor Steve’s family following the passing of his granda and Maureen after the passing of her uncle David.
As we look ahead to June, we are looking forward to Pastor Jonathan beginning a new Sunday morning series on the Songs of Ascent, found in Psalm 120-134. There will also be a pre-loved sale on Saturday 13th June, with all proceeds going to support the ongoing work of the church. In addition, we look forward to our Father’s Day service on Sunday 21st June at 11.30am.
